So, you are following the current news – economic disaster, war drums, political uncertainty – and you are thinking, surely we are entering the end of days.

Or, maybe you’re not.

But, I sure am.

As I surf the cable channels, do I find a flurry of activity aimed at raising the consciousness of the yet-to-be-saved that the time is drawing near to truly repent and accept Christ as Lord and Savior before it is too late?

No, I don’t.

Do I hear Christians raising their voices in a mighty call for the revival of a once Blessed Nation?

No, I do not.

What I find over and over again is an over-blown concern with the ‘Green’ concept; Recycle, reuse, save the planet.

Being a reflective sort of guy, all this set me to thinking…where are our priorities and why don’t those professing to be Christians seem to care about the fate of mankind?

Is there an overwhelming selfishness on the part of believers coupled by a pre-trib rapture outlook? “Hey, we’re not going to have to deal with the hard times, good luck to y’all and ‘Come quickly Jesus’”?

As I pondered this, my thoughts turned toward the converse possibilities of a mid- or post-tribulation rapture and what that all might entail.

I can envision a number of possible scenarios which may already be unfolding before our eyes.

For instance, is it possible that there are savvy power-mongers, fully aware of Biblical prophesies concerning the end-times that are setting the world-stage for a mock end-times event? Sound far-fetched?

Imagine, if you will, the subjugation of the masses through manipulation of the banks in such a way as to paralyze commerce and cripple corporations, the one-time backbone, but still essential element of American employment.

I say one-time backbone for, as you recall, the process of crippling America was evidenced by the migration of manufacturing and technological jobs off shore as a result of NAFTA.

There is heap of blame-tossing going on regarding NAFTA – from Reagan to Bush, Sr to Clinton to George W. – but the blame belongs squarely upon the LOVE OF MONEY and the greed of both American corporations and American citizens who had no foresight beyond cheaper products and the complacency to stand up only long enough to grab their ankles.

But, I digress.

As the fake Anti-Christs (though filled with the spirit of anti-christ in their own right) maneuver us into a Global economy and International (in)justice system, while we bleat from our pews, totally divided by hundreds of denominations that resemble the Body of Christ about as much as Frankenstein’s Monster resembles a man, the real Anti-Christ waits patiently in the wings to step up and save the day, slapping the Globalists-constructionists into oblivion without changing the Global Order that has been neatly established, nevertheless, becoming a superhero and savior to the lost sheeple who will be more than content to lick boot and gather the crumbs that fall from his table, happy to receive the Mark of the Beast, without even recognizing that they are doing so.

Those few who have discernment enough to keep their heads with a full realization that the scenes playing out before them are nothing short of what God’s Word as prophesied for 2000 years, will soon lose their heads, as promised, for refusing to take the Mark of the Beast.

Glory be to God! “To live is Christ, to die is gain!”

By this time you may be wondering what all this has to do with Hamsters.

Regardless of how all this shakes down, hard times are looming as the power-play progresses, and as I was mulling over how my family could become more self-sufficient (purely in a worldly sense, as God is ultimately in control and the only Provider Who Matters) it occurred to me, almost in a revelatory flash of insight, that there were untapped resources awaiting development and quite manageably so, even with severe budgetary constraints . Hamster Power!

When I was a child I remember having a pair of hamsters; lovable little critters whom I named Alice and Amos. [I recall my older brother delighting in tormenting me by referring to them as Ass-less and Anus, but, that is a whole other issue.] More recently, my daughter also kept hamsters and from these experiences, one thing I can tell you for sure is, those little guys just love to run, run, run on a wheel.

See where we are headed? Ingenious, no? And, where it is a natural and thoroughly enjoyable endeavor for hamsters to run, not even PETA would object to harnessing the power of the wheel that would otherwise be going to waste. (When we get into our next topic, Hamster Treats – the renewable food source, PETA may have some concerns, but I am confident that we can put those to rest as well.)

At this point you may be thinking: “HEY! Are you being hypocritical here – going ‘Green’, joining the crowd of planet hugging, plastic hating tree lovers which you opened the article with as a object of your abject disdain?”

Perish the thought!

I am inviting you to be pioneers in a whole new ministry outreach with a practical application coupled with witnessing opportunities like no other that I am aware of.

For, if you are at all like me (and I just know that you are) you are hesitant to mention anything about Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, to an unreceptive audience without a clear entry point.

Believe you me, when you start sharing the concept of Hamster Power, the queries as to what you are doing and why will be the perfect opportunity to lead folks to a serious consideration of our current world events through the lens of a Biblical perspective.

We are just beginning the Research and Development phase of the Hamster Power Project, and seek volunteers to assist in the research of the existing technologies of generators, alternators, storage batteries, applied physics, as well as information relating to the care and breeding of Hamsters.

This is intended to be an open source project for the benefit of individuals and their families, not a commercial enterprise. However, any Angel Investors who would care to jump start the development of this program will definitely not be discouraged from doing so.
