The godless politically correct minions of Satan stay busy each year attempting to keep CHRIST out of CHRISTMAS.
The following story is just one example:
Town’s parade draws fire for dropping ‘Christmas’
The Associated Press
A famed fireworks company is pulling out of a holiday boat parade because “Christmas” was dropped from the event’s name.
Fireworks by Grucci won’t lend its sparkle to Patchogue’s Nov. 23 parade – decorated yachts on the Patchogue River – because the organizers have renamed it the Patchogue Holiday Boat Parade. It was the Patchogue Christmas Boat Parade last year, when the Grucci company donated $5,000 worth of fireworks.
The company’s vice president, Philip Butler, who has criticized the secularization of Christmas in the past, said parade organizers were “using all the themes of Christmas and plagiarizing all those themes.”
Organizers in the Long Island town said the parade has had several names over its roughly 15-year existence. The name was changed again this year after complaints that the use of “Christmas” seemed to make the parade less inclusive.
“When I think about fireworks, I don’t think about Christmas anyway,” Mayor Paul Pontieri said. “I think about the Fourth of July.”
The venerable Grucci company is famous for providing spectacular fireworks displays at major national celebrations. It is based in Brookhaven, not far from Patchogue.

Be sure to send a rousing ‘Well-done, Brother Philip!’ to Philip Butler, Grucci’s VP, who has chosen to raise his voice and make it known that CHRIST will not be removed from our hearts and lives and that CHRISTMAS still is the day that commemorates the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mr. Butler may be reached at PButler@grucci.com
Let’s make this a MIGHTY CHRISTMAS, in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior!
While I agree with this in spirit, believe me it won’t do any good. None of these citizen movements work nowadays. We are in the last days and what we see happening will not change.
Just my 2ยข
Mayor Pontieri and the Patchogue Chamber may not yield to the demand, but, by God, they will know that the Body of Christ is alive and well, and fully aware of the influence of Satan in this world.
The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit and to remain silent in the face of censorship is akin to sheathing that Sword.
Stand Up and Stand Firm, Brother!
I agree that Mr. Butler is taking action in protest and should be commended. I remember the 60’s. Then again, perhaps a more creative witness would be an even bolder display of the Christmas theme in a ground show or the like. You know, burn the image of the promise into the imagination of the viewer (So to speak) Otherwise the witness, and the witness of his company, may be truly absent from the event. It’s almost like demolishing a church in the neighborhood because folks want to call it a temple or a meeting house.
I am not sure if it is all that important what people call it. Do we. as Christians stop, shopping because stores won’t play traditional music at Christmas time? Maybe we should, or maybe a smile or a “God Bless You and your family because I care” could lift someone’s spirit. But as my, perhaps slightly fatalistic brother has pointed out, Christian community action seldom works because very few of us are willing to commit to any type of scrutiny–afraid of inconvenience, embarrassment or loss. None of us really wants to be “Put out there” do we? Why, even terrorists wear masks! What could be more destructive? Sorry, I’m digressing…
I believe that Christians may have a tendency to cut off their nose to spite their face. But, by God, they will sure know that our nose is missing!
Of course, take a stand; never yield. But as Christ cries out,” Please, love them through me!” take a step up. The guillotines aren’t built yet.
Blessings!
